Ace Portland

Ace Hotel Portland
[trip style = urban]

I don’t often write specifically about hotel stays and details—I reserve this for my Trip Advisor reviews—but my recent stint at the Ace Portland is worth talking about. It was like no other hotel I’ve stayed in. A breed of its own with an eclectic mix of old and new, vintage and minimal, organic and fabulous.

With a well known coffee shop and trendy restaurant just off the lobby, I could have sipped Stumptown‘s coffee and ate Clyde Common‘s deep-fried chick peas all weekend {not together}, but I was there to explore and no better way to do that than on foot.

The hipster-friendly Ace felt like it was in the centre of town, making walking to the shopping district, pearl district and old town really easy {more about my Portland explorations on Wednesday}. For now, let’s venture inward and look at some of the ways the Ace does hospitality a little differently:

Did you know? Trip Styler has a Trip Advisor account with 65 {and counting} hotel reviews from Portland to Palm Springs and London to Lima. Check it out!
